Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has been the brand ambassador of 'Incredible India' campaign for many years and he won hearts of millions for that.
Now according to reports there are rumours that the answer to one of the RTI query has revealed that bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has been removed as brand ambassador of 'Incredible India' and will not be associated with campaign of Tourism Ministry of India. This could be because of his controversial remark on alleged growing intolerance in India.
During an event of Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards in November last year Aamir Khan said that he is feeling sense of insecurity, sense of fear from the last 6-8 months. He aslo said "Kiran and I have lived all our lives here, for the first time Kiran says we will move out of India, it is a very disastrous and a big statement for Kiran to make to me....She fears for her child...she fears what the atmosphere around us will be...she feels scared to open the newspapers everyday.
However Aamir believed that his statement were misinterpreted by media and he stood by his views.
As soon as this news spread on social media, Aamir Khan and Incredible India started trending top on twitter. Amit Malviya, BJP's IT and Digital Communication in-charge Tweeted "Aamir Khan removed as brand ambassador of incredible India". However there is no official announcement from Tourism Ministry.
